An author is at the release of his new book, reading out a passage in which a character is murdered. Suddenly, the lights are turned off. When they come back on, the publisher of the book lies dead, killed in the same way as in the book.

A newly married couple are mysteriously burned alive in their home. What seems like an accident is revealed to be a murder by CID's investigation; a murder committed by carrying out an intricate plan.
